We are excited to offer the farm for your special event and have many advantages to offer including:

You can feel good about reserving the farm for your event as all proceeds support our conservation outreach and education initiatives! We regularly hold “naturalist strolls” for people of all ages, work with numerous school groups and summer camps to give kids an outdoor learning experience and welcome research projects. Bride at White House FarmThe White House Farm is available to host your wedding, celebration or corporate event!

Through the generosity of farm owner Scott C. Plein, we are booking, on a limited basis, events for the 2016-2017 season. Proceeds from reserving the farm for your event will contribute to the White House Farm Foundation programs so you can feel good about your contribution!

We have hosted groups from small, intimate affairs in our fabulous kitchen to larger weddings with 175 attendees under an outdoor tent next to the pool with full views of the restored bank barn, the historic White House and the spectacular backdrop of Massanutten Mountain.

Our location on Highway 211 just three miles west of Luray makes us easy to find.

The beauty of the farm right on the banks of the Shenandoah River will make your event memorable. All proceeds from renting our facility will help support the nonprofit White House Farm Foundation and its youth and adult conservation programs. Frequently Asked Questions About Weddings

What are the rates to hold an event or wedding?

All costs are detailed in each wedding contract.

The White House Farm does not provide indoor facilities for your wedding.

The wedding party may rent an outdoor event tent and portable restroom facilities from our preferred providers list.

What do you provide for a wedding or event?

White House Farm staff  look forward to working with you to ensure your event meets all of your expectation. Staff will be present during your event.

We have a list of recommended vendors we can give you to assist with your event or wedding.

Is there adequate parking?

Yes we have plenty of level parking space to accommodate your event or wedding.

What if my date changes?

Date Changes:

In the event Clients are forced to change the date of the event or wedding every effort will be made by WHFF to transfer clients reservation to a new date that is mutually agreeable to the parties.

Clients understand and agree that in the event of a date change the nonrefundable deposit amount will be forfeited to WHFF to reimburse it for additional time, expenses, and lost opportunity costs associated with the date change.

The foregoing sentence shall not apply if the date change results from a double-booking, conflict, or any other problem directly caused by WHFF.

Clients further understand that last minute changes will impact the quality of the event and that WHFF is not responsible for these compromises in quality.

What is your cancellation policy?


In the event of a cancellation of special event or wedding, the nonrefundable deposit amount will be retained by WHFF.

Should any cancellation be made less than thirty (30) days, but more than twenty (20) days prior to the event date, WHFF shall retain the security deposit and the nonrefundable deposit.

Should any cancellation be made twenty (20) or fewer days prior to the event date, WHFF shall retain all fees and deposits, and the Rental Fee – to the extent not previously remitted – shall be due and payable to WHFF immediately.
